All about 5th grade math!

Tell about yourself and your connection in math. What you you like, dislike, know or don't know. One example of something that you want to work on during the year.

This must be done in a complete paragraph, with correct conventions!

My name is Kiera, and my connection in math is math games. I love square numbers, and I dislike double-digit division. I really want to work on double-digit division.

Hi I am Maria and I love math. I mostly like multiplication, division, and I also like long division. I don’t like doing easy things like addition and subtraction. What I want to work on this year is algebra, perimeter, and/or area of things. I am not really good at that stuff.

I’m good at math. It’s hard, fun and cool. I don’t do real good at twelve multiplication. All I want to know is multiplication for twelve’s. The other thing is I am bad at nines multiplication.

I am 10 years old. I like math because it is going to help me later. Math is fairly fun because I am good at it. If I was not so good at math then I would get frustrated a lot. My favorite part of math is multiplication.
The reason I like multiplication is because I like big numbers and it is sometimes challenging.

How I can relate to math is I use it every day but…I have a great dislike for it so great that I wish we could just have free time on the computer.

Math is my favorite subject. I like working with decimals, time, and just multiplying and dividing. I think adding time is easy if you know military time than it’s easy.

I think math is my best subject. I like dealing
with decimals in math. I really don’t dislike anything.
Mad Math is also fun. I want to know how to be better at
Mad Math. I don’t know division really quick. I want to
Work on my division this year.

I am really good at mad math. I like doing mad math and I dislike doing double digit division. I know how to do one digit division but I don’t know how to do three digit division. I would like to work on double digit division.

My connection with math is sometimes I like math factor strings but sometimes I don’t because sometimes they’re hard and sometimes there easy. Some are to easy because they have numbers like 12 so if you do 6*2 and that equals 12. I also have a connection with math multiplication facts. I know a lot of my multiplication facts because I practice a lot and I mainly know them by heart. Sometimes when I do multiplication facts I get mixed up so it kind of gets harder for me because sometimes because I get mixed up with 6’s and 9’s because they look alike so I think a 6 is a 9 and a 9 is a 6 so after you do that problem and get it wrong you know not to get it mixed up again. so if you do that make sure you fix it.

I like math. I think we find math many places in every day life, at stores, at the bank, anywhere you give or take money. Also you use math at school, of course. I am very enthusiastic about my friend and the games we (I) make up. I love writing stories and drawing pictures.

I have brown hair, dark brown eyes, tan, tall, and I was born the year of the rat. I’m not good at math. I sometime forget important things. I’m always in a rush. I have 17 cousins. 12 in state and 5 in California.

My connection in math is good because it helps me, when I have a problem.
Only math can solve also, I’m good at division, timetables, and other math subject. I don’t like problem solvers that much. Also I’d like to learn 2 digit divison.

How you find factors of 36. First, you see if one can go in to 36 evenly. If it can then how many times. Now se if 2,3,4,5,ect. Can go in to it evenly. 1,2,3,4,6,9,12,18,36 are all factors of 36. 1*36,2*18,3*12,4*9,6*6 and these are the factor pairs of 36.
